DESCRIPTION:
HOGG returns to SCRAPES with a full-length recording made
at Electrical Audio. Self-Extinguishing Emission captures
the physicality and energy of a HOGG performance over the
last several years, while the song-writing and production
show a refinement and development that is uniquely HOGG.
The songs are built around a spare foundation of heavy
electronic pulses punctured by occasional stabs of
distorted guitar, floor tom, and biological samples.
Dueling vocals of diverse sonic and emotional quality
render each song into a pleasurable exploration of internal
conflict within a brutal psychological atmosphere.

DESCRIPTION:
HOGG first began performing in Chicago during 2014.  Working as a duo, they played raw and minimalistic pieces using crudely-strummed guitar, scrap metal, floor tom, and drum machine.  While their music takes influence from early industrial, no wave, noise, and punk music, they have devised a sound and style that is uniquely their own.  Last summer saw their debut recorded release Bury the Dog Deeper (Nihilist Recordings, CS) which was pressed with a slightly different track selection into vinyl as Carnal Lust and Carnivorous Eating (Rotted Tooth Recordings, LP).  Solar Phallic Lion is their third release and demonstrates an increasingly diverse palette, with HOGG expanding their style into 5 tracks that cover a range of genres.  There are subdued vocals over a pulsating dirge of guitar and drum machine on the title track, a mutant surf blast of floor tom and riffs on "Electromagnetic Chauvinism," a rhythm-focused exorcism on "My House Is Nice", a D-beat re-imagining ripe with wild pitch-shifted vocals and soaring guitar on "Today's World," and a sing-along destruction of an old classic on "Conform or Die."

ARIISK: FATAL ERRORS 12"
STATUS: LESS THAN 10 REMAINING!
EDITION: 300
FORMAT: 12" 45RPM
PRODUCED BY: ARIISK
MASTERED BY: JAMES PLOTKIN
NORTH AMERICAN DISTRIBUTION: All Day Records
EUROPEAN DISTRIBUTION: Bordello A Parigi

DESCRIPTION:
ARIISK has been making music in Chicago and Los Angeles for over a decade, but has released very little music physically until last year when he had releases on Nation and Nostilevo tapes. While his appearance on the acclaimed 7 record box set "The Modern Electronic Element Series III" marked his first appearance on vinyl, FATAL ERRORS is his first dedicated vinyl release. The tracks are paranoid and dystopian, merging heavy motoric machine music with distant vocals, percussive arpeggios, and fluid synth pads.

A1 INVASION
A2 RADIO TMRRW PPL
A3 POINT KLK
B1 LOST LIFE
B2 FATAL ERRORS
